Not only are the registration figures for electric and hybrid vehicles increasing, but the average age in these vehicle segments is also rising - and with it the volume of repairs. This is because high-voltage components such as on-board chargers and input filters wear out like all other electrical and electronic components: due to ageing, vibrations, moisture ingress, overheating or high-voltage peaks.

On-board charger and input filter

On-board chargers and input filters are crucial for the optimal functioning of the charging system on the one hand and the protection of the high-voltage battery, power electronics and charging electronics on the other. The demand for spare parts for electric and hybrid vehicles will increase in the coming years. With the new HV products, MAHLE is opening up the repair route to these vehicle segments for workshops. On-board chargers and input filters are the first of these.

The first products in the new portfolio will be

-        From October 2025: Current monitor: Input filter from MAHLE

-        From the end of the year: Current transformer: On-board charger from MAHLE
