Over 3,000 participating vehicles over two days brought the vintage car tour to life during the Day of Open Monuments, transforming the South Palatinate into a rolling museum. Included were rolling treasures from all over Europe, such as Belgium, France, Holland, and Austria, as well as numerous clubs with up to 30 vehicles each. Visitors and participants showed great interest in the products displayed from MAHLE's Classic Line, especially around the MAHLE Bulli.
MAHLE's Classic Line offers an extensive range of replacement parts for passionate mechanics and professional experts. This carefully selected collection has been developed over decades in partnership with the automotive industry.
Manufacturing now occurs on modern equipment according to original specifications. MAHLE calls it classic car care in every detail, ensuring a classic remains a classic.
No wonder, then, that the Bulli at the MAHLE booth was a popular spot during the vintage car tour. The phrase 'no longer available' often spells the end for many vintage cars, especially when it comes to crucial engine parts.
For many young and old car enthusiasts, finding replacement parts is becoming increasingly difficult. It's therefore all the more pleasing that MAHLE continues to serve its customers with the Classic Line. The damage brochures about pistons and cylinders for technically savvy drivers were also in high demand and quickly snapped up.
The Classic Line program from MAHLE is Made in Germany and now comprises almost the entire product portfolio of the MAHLE Aftermarket and currently covers 1.600 vehicle applications (LINK to technical data sheets). It contains spare parts from the following product categories:
The vintage car tour took place for the third time in September. The event covered about 140 kilometers along the Southern Wine Route, accommodating more than 3,000 vehicles. This makes it the largest event of its kind in the country for vintage cars, including many pre-war vehicles. Many participants spent hours traveling to enjoy beautiful days among like-minded enthusiasts. The route showcased the entire spectrum of historical mobility – from mopeds, motor scooters, and motorcycles to tractors, from trucks to cars of various years and countries of manufacture. For this third edition, renowned partners were involved, ensuring that there were no costs for the participants. The organization for the fourth vintage car tour has already begun. The 2024 iteration will take place on September 7th and 8th, coinciding with the Day of Open Monuments.
