Episode 15 - France
For our last episode, we visited Yves Lecomte. The founder of "Tracto Pièces" is a parts dealer specializing in tractors in Corps- Nuds in Brittany (20 kilometers south of the city of Rennes). While the company initially sold mainly used tractors when it was founded in 1969, it has increasingly developed into a workshop over the years. Today, Tracto Pièces offers farmers more than 55,000 spare parts as a dealer.
In the rural region, tractors are the most important work equipment - they must be ready for use at all times. "This makes it all the more important for us to be able to supply spare parts developed by original equipment manufacturers that can withstand stress. We obtain starters, alternators, and numerous thermal management products from MAHLE with great satisfaction," says Yves Lecomte.
Episode 14 - Switzerland
In Amriswil, CH, Miguel Santos realized his dream four years ago and launched his own workshop. A good third of his turnover comes from tuning jobs. He also offers his workshop service for classic cars. Apart from that, standard maintenance work determines his daily workshop routine: "Brakes, air filters, oil service, small repairs, tire service - that's always on the agenda," says Miguel. The 29-year-old MAHLE fan runs a YouTube channel about installation and maintenance tips.
Episode 13 - Brazil
Our latest journey through the workshops of this world took us to the "Garibaldi Diesel Garage, "located in the south of Brazil. The team around Carlos Ferry specializes in repairing commercial diesel vehicles, from light to medium and increasingly heavy vehicles. The workshop's biggest challenge is customer loyalty: "If we cannot find a solution to our customer's problems, they look for someone else. "Therefore, the true source of GREAT WORK lies in customer satisfaction for the team.
Episode 12 - UK
For our latest episode, we visited Nigel Yardley from Yardley’s Garage in the UK. As a third-generation owner of his family-run workshop, Nigel has continued to invest in the most up-to-date training, technology, and equipment to ensure he can continue to keep his local community safe on the roads. His faith in the MAHLE brand is down to the reliability of the parts he fits and the technical support he relies upon to ensure customer satisfaction is guaranteed every time.
Episode 11 - USA
The Farmington Garage is part of the Detroit Garage family of shops with eight locations in the Greater Detroit area. The Detroit Garage family is a group of industry leading automotive shops with world class technicians and second to none sales and support teams. Serving a full range of vehicles, the owner, Curtis “Andrew” Massoll, explains how using top performing engine parts and products in their day to day partnered with the best technicians helps deliver top notch, excellent service. The Detroit Garage concentrates on providing an all-around exceptional experience on a daily basis.
Episode 10 - Poland
For our latest episode, we visited Rafał Wrzesiński and his team at Vacat Motorsport in Poland. The workshop is specialized in servicing, maintenance, and construction of rally cars. Performing during motorsport competitions such as the Polish Rally Championship and others across Europe comes with many extra challenges for mechanics. Besides the additional constant time pressure, there is no space for mistakes and often a need to improvise. Episode 9 - Italy
For our latest episode, we visited Centro Servizi Auto SRL in Bagnatica, Bergamo. In our interview, Vania Gabbiadini told us about the workshops increasing need for training due to the rising numbers of instrumentation used. Another challenge the team is facing comes with unlocking gateways by overcoming blocks that manufacturers inset in many cars due to regulatory reasons.
Episode 8 - China
For our latest episode, we interviewed HARSON workshop's technicians to get some insights into their daily work routine and challenges. HARSON is specialized in repair and maintenance services for high-end German vehicle applications, such as Mercedes-Benz, BMW, and Audi. For the team, having access to a large variety of training is crucial to mastering the transition towards future mobility. Find out about their interpretation of "Great Work" in the video.
Episode 7 - India
In our latest episode of Great Worker Talk, we are guests at a workshop in India. There, in Coimbatore, to be precise, we met Eswaramoorthy Ayyasamy and his employees in his own workshop, which has been in existence for 31 years. They attach great importance to quality and durability. They want to give their customers a good feeling when they pick up their car from the workshop - a feeling like buying a new car. That is why they specialize primarily in OEM. Find out what "Great Work" means to them in the video.
Episode 6 - Mexico
Our sixth episode takes us to Mexico. In the center of Mexico City, we visited Baltazar Aguilar Castillo and his team. Baltazar and his team report their conviction and trust in MAHLE and show themselves to be continuously impressed by the product quality of our engine parts. For the small but successful workshop, installing quality repair parts is the key to ensuring its customers' satisfaction.
Episode 5 - Turkey
Our fifth episode takes us to Turkey. The garage "Aksoy Automotive" has opened its doors 25 years ago and is specialized in working with Mercedes Benz vehicles. The team around Özer Yener and Uğur Dündar notices a constantly rising need for education and training due to increasing technological advances. For the team, a full-service experience containing manuals, training material, and OEM quality is far more important than the price when purchasing spare parts.
Episode 4 - Brazil
Our fourth episode takes us to Brazil. The garage "Engine Rebuilding ABC" is located in Santo André in the state of São Paulo. The small family business was founded 62 years ago and is a local benchmark in the rebuilding of diesel engines. We visited the garage and its owner Ricardo Nunes, to get some insights into the repair, their everyday life, and their understanding of GREAT WORK.
Episode 3 - Italy
In the middle of downtown Milan, next to the Italian football temple San Siro, a small but super efficient workshop opened its doors and gave us an insight into the daily challenges of a multi-brand workshop in Italy.

The first episode takes us to Berlin. There we met the workshop owners Mario Diel and Marco Schröder. We learned from them what makes everyday work in the workshop so complex today, what can make everyday life easier for mechanics and what they expect from a parts manufacturer and supplier.
